  • 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain well and set aside.
  2. While the tortellini is cooking, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  4. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the Alfredo sauce.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
