These Spicy Jalapeno Popper Twists are a fun and flavorful appetizer, perfect for parties or game day. Flaky puff pastry is filled with a creamy, cheesy jalapeno mixture and twisted into irresistible, spicy bites.

  • 1 sheet (14.1 oz) frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 jalapenos, seeded and finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Everything bagel seasoning, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, diced jalapenos, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  5. Cut the puff pastry into approximately 1-inch wide strips.
  6. Twist each strip several times and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the twists with the beaten egg.
  8. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning, if desired.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Serve these twists with a side of ranch dressing or sour cream for dipping.
