Mouthwatering Samoa Caramel Apple Slices

These Samoa Caramel Apple Slices are a delicious and easy treat! A fun twist on a classic Girl Scout cookie, these slices are perfect for a quick dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large apples, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • 1 cup caramel bits, melted
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded sweetened coconut, toasted
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips, melted
  • Sea salt flakes, for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the apples into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Remove the core from each slice using a small cookie cutter or knife.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine caramel bits and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth. Alternatively, melt in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Dip each apple slice into the melted caramel, coating both sides. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Immediately sprinkle toasted coconut over the caramel-covered apple slices.
  5. Drizzle melted chocolate over the coconut.
  6. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes, if desired.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the caramel and chocolate to set before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use salted caramel. To toast coconut, spread it on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown, watching carefully to prevent burning. You can also toast it in a dry skillet over medium heat.
