Homemade Pumpkin Dump Cake

This Pumpkin Dump Cake is the easiest fall dessert you’ll ever make! With just a few simple ingredients, you can have a warm, comforting pumpkin spice cake ready in under an hour.

  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 box (15.25 ounce) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice until well combined.
  3. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the pumpkin mixture.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped pecans or walnuts over the top, if using.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
