Delicious Oven Baked Trout Dish

Ingredients

  • 2 whole trout, cleaned and gutted (about 8-10 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the trout inside and out and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil and minced garlic.
  4. Place each trout on a large piece of aluminum foil.
  5. Rub the olive oil mixture inside and outside of the trout. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Place lemon slices, rosemary sprigs, and thyme sprigs inside the cavity of each trout.
  7. Fold the aluminum foil over the trout to create a sealed packet.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  9. Carefully open the foil packets and serve immediately.
