Halloween Crack

This Halloween Crack is a sweet and salty treat perfect for parties and snacking. Made with a buttery cracker base and topped with chocolate and your favorite Halloween candies, it’s completely addictive!

Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Halloween sprinkles, candy corn, mini M&Ms, or other desired toppings

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar together over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Pour the butter-sugar mixture evenly over the crackers.
  4. Bake for 5-6 minutes, or until the mixture is bubbly.
  5. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot crackers. Let sit for a minute or two to melt the chocolate, then spread it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle with your favorite Halloween toppings.
  7. Let cool completely, then break into pieces.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate. You can also add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for extra salty-sweet goodness. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
