Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Bring the wine to a simmer and let it reduce for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and butter. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Stir in the parsley.
  6. Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or crusty bread.

Notes

Serve over linguine or fettuccine for a complete meal. A squeeze of lemon juice adds a bright note to the dish.
