Irresistible Chocolate Muffins Display

These moist and decadent chocolate muffins are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet treat any time of day. Made with rich cocoa and chocolate chips, they’re sure to satisfy your chocolate cravings.

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Fill each muffin liner about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra touch, dust the muffins with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate.
