Chicken Tacos

Delectable Chicken Tacos Display

These quick and easy Chicken Tacos are packed with flavor and perfect for a weeknight meal! Tender shredded chicken is seasoned with taco spices and served in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 12 corn or flour tortillas
  • Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, guacamole

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  2. Remove chicken from skillet and shred with two forks.
  3. Return shredded chicken to the skillet. Add taco seasoning and water. Stir to combine.
  4. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  5. Warm tortillas according to package directions.
  6. Fill each tortilla with shredded chicken and your favorite toppings.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, try grilling the chicken before shredding it! You can also add a squeeze of lime juice to the chicken mixture before serving.
