  • 4 medium apples (such as Gala, Fuji, or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup caramel bits or squares
  • 2 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • Optional: chopped nuts, sprinkles, sea salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the apples. Remove the core and slice the apples into 1/2-inch thick slices.
  2. Place the apple slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramel bits or squares with the milk or heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted.
  4. Drizzle the melted caramel over the apple slices.
  5. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips with the coconut oil or vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted.
  6. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel-covered apple slices.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle with chopped nuts, sprinkles, or a pinch of sea salt.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the caramel and chocolate to set.
  9. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

For easier slicing, use an apple corer and slicer. Store leftover apple slices in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
