Warm and Delicious Apple Crisp

  • 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, flour, brown sugar, oats, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Add cold butter and cut it in using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour apple mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the apples.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
