From very early on in life I’ve always been drawn to the kitchen. I’d spend most of my weeknights there doing my homework while watching my mom cook dinner. My family gatherings consisted of loud Italians surrounding a table that was always filled with delicious food 🍝.
I don’t remember exactly when I began cooking. I do know that I’ve always loved food and was always interested in the process of completing a dish. Through the years while I was living at my Mom’s house, I’d be cooking and baking away, trying to recreate my favorite dishes and desserts that I’d had at restaurants. There were so many times that I’d start to make something that seemed great in my head, but when all was said and done, they were… not so great, to say the least.
One thing I remember conjuring up when I was younger was a breakfast “burrito”. It consisted of a BIG pancake as the tortilla and inside was scrambled eggs, maple syrup, bacon, and, wait for it… KETCHUP! All together. Yeah…not one of my finest ideas but hey, live and learn. Needless to say, my cooking skills (and judgment) have improved since then.
I have always had the idea of starting a cooking blog/ Youtube channel in the back of my mind, but never had the time. I worked full time as a special educator and commuted 2 hours a day, so the last thing I was thinking about when I got home was working on a blog 😴.
Fast forward to today. I am currently a Stay- At- Home- Mom…and my boss; the most amazing 6 month old baby boy named Brayden💙👶. Being a SAHM is a HUGE change for me because I’ve worked since I was 14 and am now home 95% of the time raising my infant son. This, in itself is a full time job, but I’m taking some of Bray’s nap times to work on my cooking blog, in between all of the housework and laundry that can (does) quickly pile up. I’m excited that I am finally able to dedicate some time to my lifelong passion and that I’ll be able to share it with all of you🍳🙋!
Thank you so much for coming on this journey with me. Keep checking in for new recipes, quick and easy dinners, cooking videos, and inevitable kitchen mishaps 😬.
So happy that you are following your passion!! Wishing you tremendous success! Hope to see you soon! ❤️😘
